Dear friends! This AYAKO TACHIBANA and welcome to my MIATA fan site!! This site is presented by me and my beloved MIATA called SHARL and we hope you enjoy the visit! Sharl (my MIATA) came to my home almost eight years ago and now he's my best friend or just like a little brother. I love sports cars very much but I believe my MIATA is the best of all for me. Maybe some of you are MIATA owners, aren't you? You know how great this little pretty baby is!! Once you feel the wind with him, you won't be able to throw this wonderful feeling away. MIATA is no doubt the very best convertible which Japanese motor companies ever made. Do you remember the name RX-7? It was also a MATSUDA's mega-hit in 70's and was a splendid sports car which had an exclusive rotary engine with it. MATSUDA is the only one company which realized the rotary engine in the world. This adventurous spirit has never faded, and this historical motor vehicle, MIATA, was born in 1989. I've heard that MATSUDA made a concept car which became MIATA afterwards for some kind of a motor show and had no intention to go into quantity production. But once it went into the public, enormous requests flooded in, so MATSUDA decided to put MIATA into the market on a full scale. Before MIATA, the open two-seater category was almost died, but after MIATA emerged into the world, a lot of motor company also added wonderful convertibles like MGF or BMW Z3 to their production lists. I believe MIATA not only a wonderful product but also a work of art which only like MATSUDA's rare adventurous spirit can produce. MOMA (New York Modern Museum of Art) once exhibit MIATA there, and that proved the art-spirit (means love) which is expressed in the MIATA MX-5. Now that newly produced MIATA was born and running around all over the world. I think it's also a great convertible, but still, I believe that the first born MIATA never lose its value and spirit.
